Jewish conflict
Before Israel became a Jewish state there were many conflicts with the Jewish people. Jewish Diaspora means scattering. It began when the Babylonians destroyed the great Temple of Jerusalem. After that the Persian King allowed the Jews to return to Jerusalem, the Jews started to rebuild their Temple. After the Romans took over the Jews fled and they were banned from Jerusalem. Anti-semistism is the discrimination against Jews. Anti-semistism was very big in Europe. The Jews in Europe started a movement called Zionism, Zionism was meant to create a Jewish state in Palestine because of Jewish connection to the region. Anti-Semistism in Europe grew and eventually lead to the Holocaust during World War 2. The Holocaust was the mass murder of over 6,000,000 people, mostly Jews. Many Jews migrated to Palestine after the end of World War 2 in 1945. In 1948 Israel became a Jewish state.
